Re: Diary of a CEO = MOYES Interview
sadly, I watched it. most of the time was spent talking about man utd but the brief bits about us did him no favours. the revelation that he turned down a potential superstar for £14m because he was happy with his 33 year old converted winger, the contradictions about communication with players despite numerous ex and current players saying that he is unapproachable, and lastly that he wanted to attract young players when the evidence is most can't wait to escape him because of the lack of opportunity

Re: Diary of a CEO = MOYES Interview
The thing I got from the interview is that he isn’t actually that scared of failure. He manages to sleep ok if he loses , he’s not petrified anymore.

And that says it all for me.

He’s so not embarrassed by the whole thing that he doesn’t even mind saying he turned down a World Cup winning striker in favour of Antonio. Even though any player brought in at that time wasn’t there to replace Antonio but ease the load on him.

He is way too comfortable. That’s his problem. Being relegated and losing his Man Utd job has allowed him to face his ultimate fears and now nothing phases him.

The difference with Fergie is that he absolutely hated losing. Even as an old man. He wasn’t having it and never got used to it.

Moyes doesn’t realise what’s happened in his head. But it’s obvious to see. Sadly I think a lot of people were right about his temperament. He doesn’t actually “need” to be a winner. He is indifferent to it all. And therefore, he has a mentality that means he will never taste success.

Ha ha ha! Moyes is a buffoon. I'm listening to this and early on he's talking about how important it is to turn up for games in shirt, tie and blazer.

Alex Ferguson had the same rules at Man Utd and there Moyes is sat in tracksuit and trainers....

37mins - recgonises that we havnt been same since january 2022. needed to break up the team and (in his words) doesnt give a shit if he makes errors on the way to making west ham different. thinks we have a better squad now but not a better team but thinks once it gels, it will be a better team.

got to say gents, and im prob too late, but watching this, i feel he should be given this season. he talks well.

one things is for sure, he wants to succeed with us.

prob why he has done this interview.

Re: Diary of a CEO = MOYES Interview
Talks about his process of signing players. If any of those coming in this season were not done his way then u can see why he wouldn't play them. Talks about having potential signings stay at his house or look them In the eye etc. Doubt he did that with Benrhama or Paqueta but interesting that Aguerd as talked of meeting him pre transfer

Re: Diary of a CEO = MOYES Interview
When the request came in to do the interview, I wonder what made him think it was good timing. It is still on now but as I understand it, It talks about us in bottom 3 so must be this week?
Maybe he wants it out there when looking for a new job or is a message to us West Ham fans that this is his project and to stick with him?

Just seen this.

The irony of a “winning mindset” and timing of this is gold.
